Wishing For Spring

So much snow, snow, snow.  We are ready for it to go!  In the photographs below you can see the beautiful flower fields in the Netherlands.  From far above the land and on the ground the Dutch grow the most breathtaking flowers ever seen. We looked at the flowers fields of the Netherlands in an online slideshow made by the Dutch flower farmers showing their beautifully patterned fields.

The flower fields are so bright and vibrant they don't even look real! There were so many patterns to see bright colors and types of flowers.  The pictures are just a sample of what we looked at.

With all this inspiration and despite the snow falling outside our classroom window, the students in grades 2-4th began their flower pot drawings, first in pencil, then in the most vibrant oil pastels they could dig up in their bins.
